Both based on text by the Sieur Guillet, the first in French,"Les Arts de L'Homme D'Eppe ou le Dictionaire du Gentilhomme", in a brown leather binding, published by Gervais Clouzier, Paris, 1683; the second in English, "The Gentleman's Dictionary in Three Parts", published by Goodwin, Wotton, and Tooke, London, 1705, inscribed on frontispiece "William Jewitt" and "W Robert Smith Doncaster 183-" 1683 edition has front cover detached, serious loss to spine, pages in good condition; 1705 edition missing covers but has spine, some foxing Provenance: Property from the collection of William and Linda Weimer, Ohio and Florida All books sold "as is".
