"Carte Generale des Treize Etats-Unis et Independants de l'Amerique Septentionale", by Hendrik Klockhoff for "Le Spectateur Americain" by Joseph Mandrillon, the map only appears in the 1782 edition despite subsequent editions in the following years. One of the earliest obtainable maps to name the United States, depicting the eastern seaboard of North American from northern Florida to northern Maine, extending westward to include most of the Ohio River Valley. All thirteen of the original English colonies are identified along with their borders as understood by the French. Folds, pinholes, loss to lower right corner. 18-1/2"h x 16-3/8"w
