Illions and Sons Carousel Works, Coney Island, N.Y., c. 1915, characteristic of "Coney Island Style" carousel horses, a jeweled jumper (likely inside row, based on its slightly smaller size) with characteristic flowing mane, small deep-set eyes, well carved saddles, saddle flap and blanket, and jeweled bridle as well as elaborately carved anterior and posterior jeweled trappings. Retaining an original iron mounting step, and a twisted brass grab bar. Several layers of later paint with evidence of original finish underneath. Apx. 45"h x 41"l x 10"w, 5'11"h overall
